Frequently asked questions.
WHAT IS LAKE ARROWHEAD LODGE?
Currently owned and operated by UCLA, this 42-acre lakeside resort has a rich history. In 1922, the Arrowhead Lake Company built what was then called the North Shore Tavern as part of their plan to develop the mile high lake into a world-class recreational and residential resort town.
Today this Normandy-style lodge is the center point of Bruin Woods, the incredibly popular annual UCLA alumni summer camp. The Lodge also serves as a resort destination year-round with gourmet dining and lakeside activities for all ages.
HOW DO I GET THERE?
The Lodge is an easy two 2 hour drive from LA. We recommend out-of-town guests rent a car for ultimate travel flexibility, or carpool with other guests. There are multiple airports within 2 hours of the site.
If you need assistance coordinating travel to Lake Arrowhead, please contact us and we will be happy to help you catch a ride with someone who is headed out there who has an extra seat in their vehicle.
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Please plan for 4:00pm check-in on Friday and 11:00am check out on Sunday. Guest who elect to hang around after check-out will be treated to a stragglers softball game on Sunday. See Lodging page for further details.
WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS FOR LODGING? HOW DO I BOOK MY ACCOMmODATIONS?
We are all staying together on the grounds of Lake Arrowhead Lodge. All our guests will be sleeping on-site! Please see the Lodging page for details about accommodations for the weekend.
Mini-Chalets can be booked through the link below.
I’d like to sHare a Chalet with my friends/family. do I still need to make my own booking?
Since most of the accommodations are 2-bed/2-bath, some folks may choose to shack up with someone you know. If you decided to share a chalet with friends or family, you will handle splitting payment on your own terms (we recommend Venmo.)
Please indicate with whom you’ll be bunking in your RSVP.
WHAT is there to do there?
All our dining, drinking, dancing, events and activities will take place on-site and within walking distance of the Main Lodge. The town of Lake Arrowhead is wonderful to explore but our hope is that everyone will stay on campus and take advantage of all the Lodge perks. See Activities Page for further details.
